Course Information:
Designer: Tom Bendelow
Year: 1923
The Edina Country Club, originally a 9 hole course (known as Thorpe Country Club) opened in 1923. Renowned architect Tom Bendelow designed the 18 hole course that opened for play one year later. With the clubhouse changing locations, the sequence of holes has changed numerous times through the years, but the layout is basically the same.

The terrain is gently rolling, with numerous, but subtle elevation changes. The finely manicured golf course features a wide variety of trees that will assure that strayed shots will usually face uncertain consequences.

The golf course has been known as one of the finest in the state of Minnesota. The club has hosted many fine state and national championships including: The Men's and Women's Trans-Miss, Minnesota State Open, Minnesota PGA Championship, Minnesota Men's & Women's Amateur, Western Junior Championship, MNPGA Junior Championship, MGA Mid-Amateur, and many others. In 2000 ECC will once again host the MWGA Women's Amateur Championship, and in 2001 the MGA Mid-Amateur and PGA-MGA Cup Matches.
